An extraordinary interview of Rita Ora's father: Success, origin...

Albanian baby Rita Ora moved to age 1 from Kosovo to England along with her parents and older sister Elena, in the late '90s. But as he grew up and lived in London, it would be “wrapped up” with culture, people and local traditions from where he left off. Grandpa Besim Sahatciu, [...]
Grandpa Besim Sahatciu, a prominent director in Kosovo, and her grandmother so sweet and noble would live together with Rita's parents in the same house. The soul was still in Kosovo.
Father Besnikhatciu Ora, relates exclusively for “Albanian. com” how the success of the Albanian singer in the world began. The English teacher's discovery of talent when she was nine and her first role as an actress at the age of 12.
They maintained friendly relationships, relationships with relatives, and traditions in the family, and with them they accommodated their beloved niece, a child whom they worshipped - perhaps just because she was careless and persistent in what she wanted. Grandpa translated it with the epithet “Rita Pitta”, while in the eyes of parents it was considered the family's “
We learn all of this from Besnik Sahatciu, Rita Ora's father, who we meet the day after the concert Rita Ora gave in Mahza “Square. Skender Behem” He simply asked how the concert was hosted, while he had not yet taken the courage to look through the newspapers as to what they wrote about it. What he wanted to know was if his listeners were pleased. In about 20 minutes of friendly conversation, where we also cut off this interview, Besnik Ora seems to have been embarrassed with compliments for her daughter. And word after word, and question after question we discovered so many things unknown to the Albanian singer's life.
No one may have known that Rita Ora has left Kosovo only 1 to London, yet although she was educated in school in English as a child, and she began her career in America since her early teens, Rita Ora did not forget her origin. By conversing with his father, Besnik, your sense of patriotism is remarkable. The faithful man says he enjoys the fact that his daughter in the world is not the only successful Albanian. It was futile to say that Rita herself is unattainable. His modest attitude of “disarming”.
Faithfully recounts the truth of Rita Ora's life, the sacrifices they have made as parents to educate her, not to leave in the way the talent their child displayed. In this interview with Faithful, we feel that we have traveled to Rita Ora's life, holding her as a child until she grows older and takes her attention with her art.
Total interview:
-You Mr. Besnik are the father of famous artist Rita Ora, but the son of a prominent Kosovo director Besim Sahatciou, and you were born in Kosovo. Remember in your youth how you experienced the division of Kosovo with Albania when you lived under the dependence of the former Yugoslav state?
Faithful One: I am 57 years old today. I've also experienced as a student the demonstrations in81. I was 17-18 then. I have experienced war, and yet I was very much involved in events that took place in my youth before the war began. Then later I have experienced events of Kosovo's independence, and others. I have been linked to the events of Kosovo since my youth, because we as a youth wanted to be together with Albania. That's how all Kosovo youth and our parents who suffered separation felt, and that wish was great. We never thought we were two, we thought we were one, Albanian and Albanian. He has been the ideal of the time, when Kosovo experienced on the one hand the oppression of Serbs and on the other, the closure of borders due to the dictatorial regime in Albania.
Mr. Kopi Kicyku, the biographer of your grandfather Besim Sahatciu, told me in an earlier interview that you originated in Shkodra. Did you have relatives left in Albania?
Faithful One: But we have a background from Shkodra from our ancestors. My uncles knew more, but today they're not alive. We know we've come from the Kazazi family from Shkodra, and they've come to Kosovo with some of the brothers of this family, one of us going to Gjakova, one in Peja, one of whom has remained in Kacanic. This is the story. They've come from Shkodra and we're stuck in those cities where we're left, and we've taken the name of Sahatciu. We still have cousins who bore the name Kazazi by those who came to Kosovo.
Our cousin, Abbas Kazazi, has been governor of the Bank of Kosovo. He's our cousin directly, and he hasn't changed his last name. Kazazi's left. This is the story. Our grandparents have come from Shkodra, and have remained in those cities that I mentioned, changing my last name. We didn't change our last name, but our last name was changed that my ancestors, my great grandfather, were engaged in trade, crafts, clockworks, clockworks, hours trade. So Gehenna was summoned And at that time, as we've been under Ottoman influence, it was left by the watchmaker in Sahatciu. And I being very close to my father (as he was, not only a director in the profession, but he was also very attached to literature), and how they often talked about books, I ask him once: “ba, but Satatci is not our original name. Should we leave it as it is. Or the hour should be added according to Albanian. And when I said that, I had another vision, that Rita was small then, but she had expressed a great talent. And I thought if something happened to her to walk, it's much easier in that Western world to promominate her name.
In childhood photographs, Rita appears to be a very expressive character, what has been her true nature?
Faithful One: But it's always been the most “ent” (chamaric) in the family. And he never stopped for what he wanted me to do, ever.
- Tell me, please, Rita's first steps as a singer, how did she begin?
Faithful One: Rita has always sang at the school choir in England. And at that time when she was 8 to nine years old, the music teacher always took her to the school choir, and every year when they became Christmass and she sang and acted. And because the teacher told us that your child is talented both for acting and for music, I think it's better if you can take him to a more professional school. But then Father Faith, Rita's grandfather, was alive, and he told us: “Take him to acting school”.
That was how circumstances were linked at the appointed time, the appointed time. It was her destiny and talent, and as they all got together, the day came and we took her to a prestigious London school. We have had difficulty paying for it because it was regular school, not conglomerate. It was a private school and it cost a lot. But we've done it since my wife and I've worked hard to help her, but we didn't know if she'd make it, but after all, the moment came that she made it.
- You've had a hard time communicating with him in your teens. There is a point in their lives that parents are struggling with communication. How have your relationships been?
Faithful One: It's hard, because at the age of 17, Rita's out of the house, because she got it in the U.S. Jay Z, which she's taken since they signed the contract with Roc Nation.
- Were you worried he left home so early?
Faithful One: Of course, she was still a child, but on the other hand, we had that pride, that she is achieving many things and developing. So this too has kept us a little courageous to heal us from the pain of absence. Rita has been very much heard at the time, that she was the first Albanian, who reached such a high level, but now we rightly boast that there are many other artists who are taking a name in the world. It's I want Lipa, it's Baby Rex, Wind Istrefi, we have numerous footballers showing success and talent in the world.
- Jay Z, who first promoted him had a bad separation because of the trial, or was there any friendship and gratitude between them?
Now I don't have to talk much about this. They've also been the interests of each of them and they've done things the same way. For the promotion of artist Jay Z she's grateful. They both have mutual respect for each other. Jay Z is a very successful name, as an artist, as a businessman. But at a certain moment, other interests have had, but Jay Z is a very big factor that has helped Rita get where she is, and in today's time they stick together when they meet her and Bionce.
- Let's go back to the Albanian roots. Because your stay is not enough to describe Rita Ora's career. What are its relations with the Albanian language, with Kosovo, Albanians?
Faithful One: Rita has been in London since one year, but even there we had a small Albanian community. And there Rita stayed with friends. We have communicated with Albanian families. So she spoke both the language and the family spoke the language that we in immigration lived with our parents. She has spoken Albanian with her grandparents and friends of Albania. She's always had to tell her origin.
- To what stage of success did her grandfather, Besim Sahatciu, see Rita?
Faithful One: Grandpa didn't achieve the greatest success, but he managed to see when Rita participated in a small role at the age of 12 in a BBC TV series called the Brief” and was very happy and told that she is ready to achieve success. But later success, unfortunately it hasn't succeeded, because my father died in 2005. Rita's success has developed later.
- Finally, what can you say about her concert in Tirana?
For the Tirana concert, I feel honored and thank them for hosting the concert, especially Mayor Erjon Veliaj. I thank him for creating this opportunity to get Rita to Tirana. And I think she's going to go with other artists. It's positive for youth. /
