Former boss of NATO shows Russia's military capacity: It can take Ukraine for a few days

Former NATO officials have warned that in the event of military conflict, Russia will invade Ukraine for just a few days.

Anders Fog Rasmussen, former chief of NATO told the German newspaper Welt that if the Russians want, their military troops could invade the entire country within days, despite the establishment of Ukraine's military potential.

Rasmussen, who is an adviser to the president of Ukraine, says NATO member states are undoubtedly prepared against “Russian tanks' powerful attacks”, but the best way to preserve peace is to restrict a potential opponent.

Once, he said Russia could join the North Atlantic Alliance under any moment, provided it meets the necessary criteria.
