Speaking on behalf of the Social Democrat Party, he has said that the discussion of going to new elections without having numbers is opportunism and population. He said so when he was asked by Kosovapress whether this party will attend the table that Vetevendosje is calling for Friday, which he proposes to discuss the election date.
Sejdiu has said his new party will go to the table, but does not agree that elections should be discussed on this table.
We as the Social Democrat Party have expressed our position, which will be on each table where we are invited. At the moment we're talking we still don't have an invitation. We have public statements from VV officials. But the moment we have the invitation, we will see the agenda, the agenda, and we will treat it within the party, and we will probably be part of that” table, Sejdiu said.
“Consensus as far as elections are concerned with a government that wants no choice, cannot be made. And we just have to get out of these popular themes, handling the election option. As the numbers are, then the motion starts and we end up falling by government. Since there are no numbers, any treatment of this subject is just the possibility and potential to get away from topics like, topics we can fix with the Assembly... We are here for, this government every day shows that it is not doing the job. But are we to stay in this discussion without having numbers, I think this is both opportunism and population”, says Sejdiu.
