Liverpool's preparations for the return match of the Champion League to Rome have been shaken by the sudden departure of Jurgen Klopp's assistant.
Zeljko Bevac has left the club for personal reasons on the eve of the biggest match of the season as the team tries to defend the 5-2 advantage in Rome.
The Bosnian Serb has been Jurgen Klopp's right hand for 17 years, the pair has played together at Mainz, but he has decided to leave the club indefinitely.
The duo met at Mainz, where Clopp played for 11 years.
Buch was an offensive midfielder and has played for three years alongside Klopp.
They had promised each other that whoever managed to become the first coach would attract the other.
When Klopp turned into a player/trainer at Mainz, he joined them and the pair stopped sharing. They were together at Borussia Dortmund, and now at Liverpool.
Bunc is named as “Turi” by Klopp, while Crawietz is “Syri”. While Klopp has named himself in the past as the “Office”.
