A child diagnosed with cyst fibrosis recently allegedly died as a result of a lack of special space at QKUK for these patients.
The Society for individuals affected by cystic fibrosis has mentioned this case as one of the best - to - be cases in which patients with this disease are treated, writes Koha Ditore.
We have a case when a child died because he was treated in the same room with a child affected by measles. You know these cases are sensitive and children with cystic fibrosis can't have contact with people like that because they're more sensitive. The case is on Lausha”, said Ismet Jahiri, the association's authorised representative.
This concern and other concerns this association has raised before the Commission for Health on Wednesday. They have said that this genetic heritage disease, there are no professional medical treatments in the Republic of Kosovo, and also the drugs it deals with are not included in the essential drug list.
