Health insurance is the concern of thousands of our citizens. Long-term health insurance is considered a key to solving all problems in the health sector, like paying doctors, investing in hospitals, issues related to improving management of health institutions. But the main purpose of health insurance is not that. It's not health institutions, but it's citizens”, Ismaili said.
He has since estimated that these assurances are solutions for families who have no conditions to pay for recovery.
Therefore, health insurance is a solution for Kosovo families who don't have the conditions to pay for recovery, for citizens whose medical recovery makes them poor, waste their savings, and maybe even family capital. Health insurance is a financial shield for our citizens. As such it should be designed and implemented. Health insurance doesn't need to be a hostage to SSH projects, protocols, or regulations”, Ismaili said in the Parliament.
He has blamed past governments for failures in this sector.
