Some organisations from civil society have reacted today about the deportation of six Turkish citizens from Kosovo last Thursday.

These organisations, by this response, express their indignation over, as said, “the failure of responsible organs in Kosovo to protect the group of teachers from a kidnapping and shock extradition by the Kosovo Intelligence Agency. This act is a serious violation of human rights”.

“This kidnapping shows Kosovo failed to be a safe haven and shield for politically persecuted individuals. We unfortunately learned once again that the executive chain is dysfunctional and unable to prevent classical interference in sovereignty. This vague imprisonment is surprising, and above all, it makes us feel insecure and vulnerable. Similarly, we are extremely concerned that this act was traumatic not only for those arrested but also for family members, who were treated unconventionally”, it is said in response.

Civil society organisations condemn the action of institutions and demand accountability and criminal responsibility against persons who allegedly bypassed the executive chain.

“Rather, to publish all names of responsible persons and interject measures in accordance with the Constitution and the laws of Kosovo, including the dismissal of senior officials for flagrant violations of the Constitution”, it is said in the response of these organisations.
