The history of that name dates back to 1070. The extension “ing” refers to “community” or “to people” from the bavarese nobles who emigrated to Austria who were called “Focko”. We do not know exactly how the village remained with that name, but we hope that they will be proud of it.

Some 100 residents live in the village, and they have to face numerous questions posed by surprised tourists.
