Malala has arrived in Mingora, Sva Valley, along with her father, mother, and two brothers.
She burst into tears when she entered her old house, told Radio Free Europe, a friend of Malala's present.
During her brief visit, she has met her neighbors, family members, and friends. Malala has been accompanied by Information Minister Maryam Aurangzeb.
Later in the day, she will visit a Cade college, located 15 miles [15 km] from Mingora.
Malala's visit to her hometown comes two days after she arrived in Pakistan, for the first time after being shot in the head, while traveling on the school bus. She was shot by the Taliban because she'd like to train girls, which the Midianites oppose.
Malala was 15 years old when she was attacked. Then she had been sent to England for treatment.
She studies at Oxford University. Twenty-year-old has won the Nobel Peace Prize in 2014.
