“Now is early to present candidacys for the Party's chairman, but as far as I'm concerned, I have no plan for such a thing. I strongly believe the chairman, Kadri Wessel must continue at the party helm even for a mandate to advance his vision of reforming PDK”, Krasniqi said.
“Preparations for domestic elections in the Democratic Party of Kosovo have started in time, and they are running extremely well. Initially, the election process for Democratic Youth and Democratic Woman is under way, while then the election process will continue at all levels of party organisation”, Krasniqi said.
Days earlier, Democratic Party of Kosovo deputy leader Enver Hoxhaj has announced that within weeks, domestic elections will begin at the Democratic Party of Kosovo and should be closed by the end of the months of 2018, where there will be major reforms in Kosovo's best interests.
On May 7th 2016, Kadri Wessel has been elected head of the Democratic Party of Kosovo without a vote against and no abstention, through an open vote by about 75,000 delegates. He was no one in this race against the candidate.
Wessel Is First Chairman PDK after Hashim Thaci, who has led the party for 16 years. He resigned from this position to become president of the Republic of Kosovo.
