Kosovo President Hashim Thaci, after meeting that he had with political leaders about demarcation, has met with representatives of justice institutions to discuss the second condition for visa liberalisation, fighting corruption and organised crime.
“This meeting serves to reinforce a history in strengthening the rule of law, as requested by the European Commission, when the visa liberalisation proposal for Kosovo” was presented, Thaci wrote.
“Fighting organised crime and corruption is not a battle that should be limited within just one process, it should not be done just for visa liberalisation. This battle must be won every day”, he wrote.
Continued procedure is a vital process where responsible institutions must show work, commitment and continued results. We need to convince all who are involved in the decision-making process, that work on our side is done, and that the long-awaited decision is made as soon as citizens can travel freely to European Union countries”.
