Former KLA General Staff Commander Sylejman Selimi is currently in prison. With the initial act by the Constitutional Court in Mitrovica, Selimi had been sentenced to prison for 14 years.
Later, the Court of Appeals had reduced the sentence from 14 to 10 years in prison. After that, there was another sentence where the conviction for the Drenica 1 and 2 cases took place, and Selim was sentenced to 7 years in prison.
Lawyer Tome Gashi has told KTV that Selimi has already served 5 years in prison, until even the last sentence has been broken and since June 11th of this year he has been illegally held in prison.
