Is Mess for Captain?

This is the first Midnight season as Barcelona captain after Andres Inista's departure, and over the years, he has regularly faced charges that he is not eligible for the role.

Is that right? Should barcha give the captain's tape to someone else? Mess is obviously a big player... but is he a bad captain?

Maradona directs complaints

Many of the most severe criticisms of Mess's leadership abilities have come from Argentina, where he has struggled to gain the unconditional love he enjoys in Barcelona.

Finally, national icons Diego Maradona used an interview with Fox Sports as an opportunity to question the Messy leadership on the national team, where he has been captain since 2011.

Mess certainly doesn't fit the traditional style of a captain. Maybe Maradona and Pasarell are right.
