This year for nine months, 284 cases of violence against women have been reported, 218 cases in all 2017.

Elders aren't going home. As a result of the violence a 72-year-old man was subjected to her had to take refuge at the Centre for the Protection of Women and Children in Pristina.

The elderly under the condition of anonymity showed that she was treated for a long time.

Fifty-five years ago, I have looked like a snake in stone. I couldn't stand having us killed. Nine people I have”, she tells.

The centre in question, which has been operating for 18 years and where women from six other municipalities in the Pristina region provide numerous services.

Despite the services that the shelter currently offers, it is in danger of closing if it is not supported financially by November 2016 until June 2018.

In the Pristina municipality, they promised to help the centre.
