The Olympic champion from Rio 2016 will compete in the Grand Slam of Judo Abu Dhabi, of the United Arab Emirates, held October 27th 29th. In Abu Dhabi, Majlinda had won the gold medal in 2011, 2012 and 2014, while in 2015 she won the bronze.
Majlinda's coach, Driton Kuka, is happy that our champion is returning to the race.
“Yes, Majlinda will return to the race this week, after a long pause. As for the medal, it's a long pause and I don't know how it affected”, Kuka told “noc-Kosovo.org”.
Besides Majlinda, who competes in the category -52kg in Abu Dhabi, worth an Olympic spot at Tokyo 2020, our country is also represented by Europe's champion in the category of up to 57kg, Nora Gjakova, Distria Krasniqi (-48kg). )
