LDK Chairman Isa Mustafa will have to go to a physical therapy rehabilitation centre in Germany, after nearly a week of lying in a private hospital in Pristina.
He's going to have to be treated by a seasonal flu, but which has probably seriously affected his health.
However, the state of health of the opposition leader is slightly more serious than an ordinary seasonal flu. The Express newspaper has learned that the former prime minister is not in danger of life, but, due to the delayed treatment of the flu, the health situation has been seriously complicated.
He is unable to move, while to be fully rehabilitated, months must pass.
According to newspaper sources, doctors suspect the LDK chairman has been affected by syndrome “Guylain-Barré syndrome”. Treatment of this disease, for people who do not have strong physical activity, or for older ones, is very difficult, and the disease can have consequences.
GBS syndrome is a disorder in which the body's immune system attacks a part of the peripheral nervous system.
The initial symptoms of this disorder include different levels of weakness or feeling. These symptoms can grow with intensity until certain muscles can be used at all, and when heavy, the person is almost totally paralyzed.
Such an individual is often placed in a ventilator to help him with breathing and has been viewed closely for such problems as abnormal heartbeat, infections, blood clots, and high or low blood pressure.
Most individuals, however, have a cure from this syndrome, even though some continue to have a certain degree of weakness.
