MZHEA's funny reasoning about the Albanian language lack of contract for Thermocentral

Ministry of Development Economy k - M ZHE today has made public the commercial contract signed by the Government of Kosovo and the investor “Contour Global” for the TC Kosova New Kosovo project.

Minister Valdrin Luka has indicated that they have managed to complete the contract this week with a thousand pages, which is public for all concerned electronically.

But the contract has only been published in English, not even in Albanian, knowing that the main interested can be mostly citizens of Kosovo.

In this regard, Periscopi has also contacted the MZHE office, which has been said to be international and takes long time to translate into Albanian.

The media adviser in this ministry, Victory Ajeti, has said they will try to get the contract back in Albanian, due to major demands.

According to Ajet, such a thing will take five or six months because of the many details that are in the 1,000-page contract.

We know the deal is international and it's signed in English, so every detail to translate it takes a long time. However, on the basis of great demands, we will try to turn it into Albanian, even though it will take us five or six months, Ajjet said of Periscop.

The deal with the American company “Contour Global” amounts to over 1 billion euros and is considered the largest project in Kosovo's history.

It was signed on 20 December last year and envisions investment of 1.3 billion euros, setting up the new 500-megawatt unit within a four-year period./Periscopi/
