The trend of migration of foreigners to Switzerland, in particular of those from EU countries and EFTA, is on the decline. Nevertheless, the largest number of foreigners standing in Switzerland continue to be that of German, Italian, and Portuguese citizens. Next are the French as the first from a country outside the EU and the fifth in general are Kosovars, broadcast albinfo.ch.
As the graph published by the SEM shows, the number of citizens of Kosovo standing in Switzerland at the end of 2017 has been 112.109 people, accounting for 5.5% of the total number of foreigners in this country. This is about Kosovo citizens, and neither do Kosovars who have already received Swiss citizenship nor those who still have the Serbian passport.
