LDK Headship member Skender Hyseni has said Ramush Haradinaj has made a mistake when he has decided to withdraw from the race to become part of INTERPOL.
He has said that most member states have supported Kosovo police to become part of INTERPOL.
He has said Haradinaj has wrongly addressed the request to be removed from the agenda by Kosovo's vote in this organisation.
He says Haradinaj has wrongly addressed the request for postponement, because he said he does not decide either the Committee or the Executive Council, but only decides the General Assembly.
Hyseni said Haradinaj has thus irreparably damaged the prospect of positive voting for Kosovo in this respect.
At a news conference, Hyseni added that Kosovo's app was the most complete of all applications in recent years. That, as he put it, made him optimistic that this year eventually Kosovo would become a powerful member of Interpol.
The negative decision for the Republic of Kosovo is that Prime Minister Haradinaj's request is not taken into account at all and that the Assembly decide as it is. The demand for withdrawal of the app has drastically damaged Kosovo's vote in INTERPOL.
Former Minister Hyseni said that on the basis of the latest information he had had been having since that day, all 132 member states had confirmed participation in the assembly, and, as he added, over 60 countries had not confirmed the turnout.
They sent us encouraging messages that we would get the votes. In the name of the LDK, but in my name as the former minister, I also show extreme concern. Haradinaj likely sent letters to the Secretary of Interpol or the Secretary General's Office with the request to withdraw or postpone voting for this app, which I would call unstable, hypothetical overlaps and not properly calculated”, Hyseni told reporters.
