The Democratic League of Kosovo has not yet finally decided with whom it will compete for the October local elections in the Prizren municipality.
The two main names being mentioned are, former President Hatim Bajaku and the new LDK deputy, Driton Selmanaj.
The LDK issue has gathered Wednesday evening to debate which of the two will eventually decide.
LDK Chairman Isa Mustafa has told Kosovo after the meeting that because of the importance of this municipality, the same as in Pristina, they have not yet decided on the candidate.
Several names for Prizren chairmanial contenders -- the top Hatim Bajaku and Driton Selmanaj” -- have been discussed at this meeting, Mustafa has said, reported Klan Kosova.
While Driton Selmanaj himself, speaking about this issue at the Klan Info Magazine of Kosovo, has declared that he still does not know how the LDK will decide, but that he would be willing to take the task if it was assigned to the party.
“I am ready if required by me, I will not leave the responsibilities”.
However, Haxhi Avdyli of LDK, in an interview for the Clan, claimed that Baxh has a great support but that even those with other ideas have decided to listen before they make the final decision.
“Mbi 95 percent have given support to Hatim Baxak”, Avdyli claimed.
“Bagzak also supported the LDK branch in Prizren. He's respected as a doctor and as a politician in this municipality”
