Germany, Belgium and the Netherlands have attracted millions of eggs after authorities discovered two ports marked as “1 - NL 4128604” or “1 - NL 4286001” containing high levels of fipronyl, a highly toxic and toxic insecticide.
These substances can harm the liver, kidneys, and thyroid glands if there are large amounts of this insecticide inside the egg, the World Health Organization reported.
Besides the company “Aldi” other companies like “Rewe” and “Lil” have pulled eggs from this contaminated group.
The German Ministry of Agriculture of State has said that at least three million eggs have entered the German market, but according to them the figure may be higher than 10 million sosh.
Germany's Federal Institute for Risk Rating said there is no concrete “risk” of health from the consumption of contaminated eggs.
However, the German Agriculture Ministry said that “health risk cannot be fully disfellowshipped for groups, especially which are endangered”, said “Deutsche Welle”, the Periscopi broadcast.
More than 150 bird farms in the Netherlands have been temporarily closed because of contamination.
Dutch farmers are expected to register losses of at least $10m ($1.9m), according to a spokesman for the Dutch Federation of Agriculture and Horticulture.
The Netherlands exports about 5 billion eggs to Germany annually, according to the Dutch community of bird farmers./Periscopi/
