The minimum wage in Kosovo has remained at 170 euros for about 6 years.
The Economic-Social Council has failed for years to raise the minimum wage in the country, which was rated at two levels since the time of Minister Rassic, KTV reports.
BSPK's leader, Haxhi Arifi, has another explanation about the failure to raise the minimum wage in the country.
He says his organisation's focus was the removal of the discrimination quota for young people from 35 minimums of which 130 euros was designated.
However, according to EuroOSTAT's data, published at the beginning of this year, Albania has the smallest salary in the Balkans of 155 euros, followed by Kosovo with 170 euros.
The largest minimum wage in the region has Slovenia at 805 euros, then Croatia 433 euros, Montenegro 288 euros, Serbia 250 euros and Macedonia with 231 euros.
