Dacic dims hopes for recognition of Kosovo by Serbia

Serbia's Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister, Ivica Dacic, has dismissed claims that Serbia wants to recognise Kosovo's independence.

Dacic has told Serbian public television that the Serbian president's call -- Aleksandar Vuciq -- for internal dialogue on Kosovo -- some have understood as calling for recognition of Kosovo's independence, but says it does not stand and that Serbia will never do such a thing, Telegrafi notes.

<x) Serbia will not do that. Serbia calls for dialogue, not because it is weak, but why it is strong and has concrete ideas”, Dacic has said, adding that no one should be involved in the question of dialogue, if Albanians and Serbs agree to it.

I read a text from an Albanian from Brussels today that attacks my theory, while Belgium and the Netherlands have exchanged territories. If something is done voluntarily, without violence, I think that's why no one needs to worry”, Dacic said.
