Viets: If Haradinaj takes the government, opposition will behave like him, no stability will be

Germany's ambassador to Kosovo, Angelika Viets, during an exclusive interview with the newspaper Zeri has said that the PDK's fall and the establishment of Vjetvendosje have been expected in this election. She has added that Kosovo needs a stable government, as there are many big challenges before the country. According to her, if Government with [...]

The fall of the Democratic Party of Kosovo(PDK) in the June elections has been expected, while forecasting that Vetevendosje will increase in votes. However, it has been clear that the election outcome will not allow until a measure that a single party, or coalition, would be able to create a stable majority in Parliament.

So has Germany's ambassador to Kosovo, Angelika Viets, declared during an exclusive interview with the newspaper '%Zerry, adding that of the conversations they had with Kosovo citizens, they have gained the impression that they are dissatisfied with the political situation in the country.

The ambassador of the most powerful state to Europe says they are interested in forming a stable government in Kosovo, but, as she says, how the most powerful things will be developed this remains to be seen, for the fact that the tasks the country has ahead of it need stability, including the formation of the Serbian Major Communities Association, Demarketing with Montenegro as a condition for visa liberalisation with the EU, dialogue with Serbia.

All of these are huge challenges a government can take forward with only very strong will. If this government has that will by 61, then everything is fine, but the risk is not to be so, Viets says.

German Ambassador has recalled the fact that in past governance Ramush Haradinaj, who is coalition candidate PAN for prime minister has participated in the opposition group, which has made tear gas available to reject Parliament's decisions, respectively.

According to her, if Haradinaj is at the helm of the government and the new opposition behaves the same way, then, as she says, we cannot talk about stability in the country.

) Haradinaj has been one of the most vocal objectors of Demarketing, who, in addition to refusing this agreement, has brought his arguments why the agreement should not be voted on. Now I don't know how he will act in the future, but what I can imagine is that this issue can be extended indefinitely and Kosovo will remain without visa liberalisation, Viets says.

During this interview with Zerin '%s', the German ambassador has also spoken of the need to fight corruption in Kosovo, adopting the Law on Confiscating Illegal Wealth, the visa liberalisation process with the EU, the involvement of President Thaci in talks with Serbia, etc.
