Three people have passed away and 11 others have been wounded. Accidents began at noon and closed at night. Former Finance Minister Arben Ahmetaj and two others were involved in the accident.

An accident in which three cars were involved took place this afternoon around 6:33 p.m. in the Lezha Street axis where one person lost his life and 6 others were injured.

One of the wounded has been sent to the Trauma Hospital in Tirana because of the critical situation he was in.

The victim is an Albanian from Kosovo, 39. N., an immigrant in Germany who was on his way back to vacation near the family.

The accident is taught to have taken place near the village of Bilica, at the Blinish intersection, while the circulation on this road axis has also been blocked.

Police have gone to the scene and are working to clear the causes of the accident and enable the normal movement of vehicles to resume on this road axis.

Meanwhile, another serious accident occurred this Sunday afternoon on the Levan-Tepelene Highway, near the village of Cakran, where an 88-year-old lost his life.

Learning that car “Scoda” with license plate “ZKY 1790”, led by 54-year-old Thanas Shollo, is out of the way. The mother of 54-year-old Athens Shollo, 88, was also in the vehicle, which unfortunately failed to survive the accident.

Also injured has been the eight-year-old vehicle manager's son, who has been sent by ambulance to Fier's Regional Hospital.

Even in Gjirokastra, a car accident has been registered with the death of an 87-year-old. It's learned that the accident took place on the road axis, Gjirokastra-Cacable, where 87-year-old Andon Qurk, from Saranda, was found on the side of a sewer.

Police suggest that the driver who had crashed 87-year-olds has left the scene, while the victim's body has been sent to Gjirokastra monk to take his family.
