News of the escape of the Bulka translators in the autumn of 1987 has arrived in Tirana simultaneously with sensational evidence of Enver Hoxha's sexual orientation, which he had given to the Western press.
Bulka's statements about the dictator's dark aspects of his personality were met with interest by foreign media, and in a few days he traveled around the world.
The Greek newspaper “vradini”, November 10, 1987, publishs writing entitled: “
Athens “I came to Greece to breathe freely. Yeah. I was Enver Hoxha's personal translator and knows important details about his homosexual life and passion! I lived through the shock that arose in the mechanism of the Albanian Party when escapes occurred abroad. You press human rights, there are deportations, imprisonment, economic decline, censorship, moral deviations. Catalog's over! ”
Journal “La Stampa” of the date 11,11.1987, publishes a scripture entitled “The Albanian Stalin, homosexual and assassin”, with a super-titled: “A former Hodge associate says: Fear of ridicule led him to a paranoia” and subheading: “To oppose relations with the leader meant being sentenced to death, yet it was sexophobic and condemned homosexuality to 7 years of forced labor camp”.
Athens, the late Albanian leader, Enver Hoxha, was a homosexual who hid his tendencies, which led us to prejudice and murder, said Ilir Bulka, his former associate from 1973 to 1980, five years before Hoxha died, in an interview given the agency UPI. Bulka has sought political refuge in Greece. “The psychological threat of ridicule caused him to get caught with all means, despite the use of methods such as mass extermination”, said Bulka, who added that Hoxha imposed a strict moral code of conduct across the country, “in force laws condemning homosexuality and those convicted of this crime were punished by at least 7 years in a 911 camp.
Bulka later confirmed that Hoxha's “homossexuality, which his wife was aware of, has influenced the history of our small country. The leader began to enter homosexual relations in Paris, where he studied before World War II. Albania's top leaders know he continued his secret homosexual relations until the day he died”.
The Albanian refugee, in his interview, made eloze to the current leadership, saying its new leader, “Ramiz Alia, is seeking to slowly reduce the influence of Hoxha's successor in the country, of those who received privileged positions from him, but, like Gorbachev, has many dangerous enemies”.
Alija has removed the law on prohibitions on homosexuality and has made some prudent trade and diplomatic openings towards the West.
Journal “Ilsagero”, dated 11,11.1987, publishes an article entitled: “Explorations, Enver Hoxha was gay, paranoid and killer” and subtitled: “The former personal secretary of the late Tirana leader, fugitive in Athens, accuses: Enver killed his own ministers, his girlfriends”...
Athens, the late Albanian leader, Enver Hoxha, was a homosexual who hid his tendencies and therefore became a paranoid and murderous one who killed many of his victims. He said that yesterday, in an interview with the U agency. PI, Ilir Bulka, 38, who for many years was an associate of Hoxha, for whom every day she prepared a review of world main news.
Bulka called for political accommodation in Athens in September this year, while passing the transit at Athens Airport along with an Albanian football team that would host a fight abroad. Speaking of Hoxha, Bulka said his paranoia increased as much as he grew older and took him to the point of stopping love songs, folk poetry and dances of male and female dancers on Albanian television.
Bulka later confirmed that Hoxha's <x0homossexuality, which his wife was aware of, was a secret they knew the country's top communist officials. To resist relations with Hoxha was like being sentenced to death. Bulka then confirmed that Hoxha personally insisted that she become acquainted with all young Albanian writers, poets and composers in his luxury apartment in Tirana.
In the interview, Bulka did so afterwards to the current Albanian communist leadership, saying the new leader Ramiz Alia “is seeking to slowly reduce the influence of Hoxha's successor in the country, but, like Soviet leader Gorbachev, there are many dangerous enemies”.
Enver Hoxha died in April 1985, at the age of 76, after having led Europe's poorest and most isolated country for 40 years with severe Stalinist methods and keeping it strictly isolated.
According to Bulka, the <x0 crimes of his friends in the government, who committed them in cold blood, and the terrible purges came because of disputes among the idle lovers, or were crimes under which passion was”. “Hodja regularly did cleaning in the Gulf of Albanian Communist leadership and “committed suicide itself to Defence Minister Becir Balluk and his prime minister, Mehmet Shehu”, Bulka concluded.
Negmije order: Tirana Bulkat drill
Ilir Bulka, former ATSH employee, fled on September 26, 1987, when he was accompanying the team of “Vlasani” in the role of translators. In his case, unlike the immediate reaction to families of fugitives, the State operated late. The decision to exile the Bulka family dates November 16th 1987.
Some time this story was forgotten and they could be rescued, one of the former Security Officers, who's taken care of the case, says, but a lightning intervention of the nexmija, put their fate in another.
Hoxha's wife, as she was familiar with Ilir's statements to the foreign press for Enver's figure, had firmly ordered: “Get them out of Tirana overnight! That's enough, adds former security and Iliri's family ended up at the Trierza in Dumre, without even the official decision of the Intern-Detail Commission. /Panorama/
