Kosovo policeman favours uncle's son

After the Court of Appeals retrialed the issue of Besim Jasik, the former police official accused of misuse of position and forging official documents, has begun the trial against him from the start.

Jasiqi is charged with being involved with his uncle.

That's what prosecutor Sahid Gashi said in her opening remarks.

“accused Besim Jasiqi of 19,8.2012 about 13.00 in Gjakova as the official person of the Gjakova Traffic Unit, in official papers she has recorded false information with which she has sealed the results with which she has done the false criminal work of the official document”, said prosecutor Gashi.

According to prosecutor Gashi, the charges brought against Jasic will be confirmed during the trial.

Besnik Berisha, Yasic's lawyer sought to see the election of wiretapping.

I'm asking to see the decision on starting wiretapping and radio wiretapping as well. And that during this trial review, it will prove that the prosecution's claims did not stand and that it did not happen the way the prosecution is claiming”, said lawyer Berisha.

Berisha further praised his defender, saying he was on duty on the day of the accident on a holiday holiday.

The prosecution claims Jasiqi marked false information in the accident's record, as in the accident in Unik, his uncle Valon Hasanaj's son was involved.
