Veton Surroi remembers the first attack on the Jashar family, and he describes it

Today, 26 years ago, the first attack on the Jashar family, from which the rifle was fired against the Serbian police. In the surrounded Praecaze, Dr. Fehmi Agani, Bajram Kelmendi, Zenun Chellaj and me. There we also met Dr. Zekirija Canen. In the afternoon, the police took out the country's men without letting them get dressed for the cold outside. A convoy directed the heavy gun to the villagers, a police officer with his machine called for us to leave. A police helicopter flew over Prekaz. I remained there until evening, with all our power, but determined to show that at that moment, we were all the same, even the rich Prekas villagers waiting for the punishment of police revenge, and we had a public name that we had come to tell the police that they were violating human rights. That one day someone would remind you. Anyone could learn from that day, anyone can learn the lessons you want today. One of the lessons for all, without names and public figures, is that from that day on, much effort, blood, and oil has been spent on freedom, much effort, blood and oil to prevent us from returning to times of uncertainty.
