A French sailor has set a new world record for the world's fastest solo voyage, defeating earlier times for more than six days.
Francisco Gabart finished his cycle of the globe early Sunday, at a time of 42 days, 16 hours, 40 minutes and 35 seconds, writes BBC, Klan Kosova reports.
He completed his steady trip, closed on his yacht with the bravers since November 4th.
The record for the first time was set by a French man, Francis Joyon, in 2004, and was also held in a phase by British nationalist Dame Ellen MacArthur.
Gabart's new record has yet to be verified by the Spied Sailing Speed Record Council, which will control the ship's GPS data before confirming the result, Kosovo reports.
