Pralak, former commander of the Bosnian Croat forces during the 1992-95 war, has taken his drink and shouted “I am not a criminal”, only shortly after The Hague tribunal has confirmed its sentence to 20 years in prison.
Judge Slobodan Pralak is not a war criminal. I reject your decision”, Pralak said.
And then he said that what I drank is poison”.
Pralak was originally sentenced for war crimes in Mostar in 2013. While today The Hague tribunal has confirmed the sentence for Pralak and five other Bosnian Croats
The general, Praljak, was charged with ordering the destruction of Mostar's 16th century bridge in November 1993, which judges said “caused major damage to the Muslim civilian population”.
The other charge against him was that he had caused cruel treatment of Bosnian Muslims, regulating the deportation and forced transfer, as well as their imprisonment.
