Serbian President Promises Historic Agreement With Albanians

The new technique, artillery and aircraft of the Serbian armed forces represent no threat to anyone; they are merely evidence that Serbia values the lives of its citizens and will be able to protect. So Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic declared at Batajnica Airport in the suburbs of Belgrade, where he was to participate in the military parade and the air show marking the 73th anniversary of the Serbian capital's liberation during World War II. But the Serbian head of state's speech conveyed another very important message.

Serbia seeks to have a strong and stable state, which will be able to emerge as a powerful partner for a historic agreement with Albanians, for good neighbourly relations with Bosniaks, for satisfactory relations with Croats and for stronger ties with Montenegrins”, Vucic said.

Serbia said Vucic is not afraid to negotiate, but nobody should think about negotiations out of fear.

Serbia's “Army is more powerful today than ever before, and will be even better paid. We are a free, independent and Sovereign state that seeks to see his work, develop and advance”, Vucic said.

According to Vucic, Serbia needs stability as much as growth and economic growth, and for that, peace is the basic condition. Furthermore, the head of the Serbian state stressed once again that the country is in the process of membership in the European Union, but despite that it will continue to maintain a close and friendly relationship with Russia and China.

After the parade and air shows, which included the MIG 29 aircraft donated by Russian Defence Minister Sergei Shoigu, soldiers carried out maneuvers focused on anti-terrorism and hostage situations.
