Among the three options it has given for the area of auditing political parties, the Kosovo government prefers them to select the audiences themselves who will control their finances. This has become known in the draft concept-document for the area of financing political subjects, which has been sent by the prime minister for public discussion on Wednesday, writes Koha Ditore today.
But with this draft, as well as the very proposal that political parties elect audiences themselves, no representatives of civil society have been hired. According to them, this proposal has not been discussed in the processing group for this concept-document.
They pass the audience's competence to the parties themselves only interpret it as legitimising violations, as, according to them, no audience selected by a political party would have identified its violations.
Researchers in the organisation “Democracy Plus”, Isuf Zana, have said they as an organisation were part of the working group for drafting this concept-document. But, according to him, this option has not even been discussed in this group
