According to foreign media, the event occurred after 1500 local times.
After striking several bikers and runners, he was stopped when his truck crashed for a school bus.
He then went out with a gun in his hand and was shot in the leg by the police.
He survived and was taken to the hospital, but at least six innocent people were killed and others injured.
Meanwhile, media have reported shocking images from the scene.
