Kosovo customs eliminates over 146 thousand counterfeit products

Within the framework of actions to protect intellectual property rights and consumer safety, 146,886 pieces of spray have been eliminated for the hygiene of forged mouth, which unauthorizedly carried commercial brands “Coca-Cola”, “Fanta” and “Sprite”.

These goods are seized by Dogan after identifying allegations of intellectual property rights violations and following verifications carried out in co-operation with competent authorities and rights carriers. After completing the legal procedures, the competent court has decided on their annihilation.

False products, especially those related to hygiene and personal use, can pose a threat to the health of citizens because they do not submit to safety standards and quality controls. For this reason, the extermination has been carried out in line with legislation in force and under customs supervision, with the aim of preventing them from being put on the market.
