President United States of America, Donald Trump, has indicated that Kosovo and Albania have expressed readiness to contribute troops under international peace preservation efforts in Gaza.
The statements were made during the first meeting of the Peace Board, held on February 19th in Washington, where 26 world leaders participated. Among them were Albania's prime minister, Edi RamaAs well as the president of Kosovo, Vjosa Osmani.
Trump stressed that besides Kosovo and Albania, other countries like Egypt and Jordan have offered support for the creation of a Palestinian police force he described as highly reliable “”.
During his speech, the American president thanked leaders for the participation and cited his role in mediating international agreements, including the approach between Azerbaijan and Armenia. He stopped especially from reports between Kosovo and Serbia.
“I am taking Kosovo and Serbia as an example. I solved it. Can you stand a little bit? What a great job. You're getting along well and when you don't get along, you call me and we're going to solve”, Trump said in front of the audience.
At this meeting, Rama reaffirmed Albania's support for initiatives aimed at stabilising the situation in Gaza, stressing that the most innocent <x0-victims are children”.
He also raised the issue of the Special Court in The Hague, referring to the demand for long sentences against former Kosovo Liberation Army commanders. The Albanian prime minister described the process as a failure and called on the American president for commitment.

At the conclusion of the meeting, Trump held separate meetings with participating leaders, including Rama and Osman, who talked to him for several minutes.
During the forum it became known that the US will contribute $10 billion to the Peace Board, while other member states have pledged about $7 billion, as well as concrete troop commitments and police forces for the Stabilisation Mission in Gaza.
