Parliament Speaker Dimal Basha received EU Office in Kosovo Chief Aivo Ora at the meeting

The head of the Kosovo Republic Assembly, Mr. Dimal Basha welcomed the Chief of the European Union Office in Kosovo this afternoon. Aivo Orav.

The EU chairman and representative discussed the recent political events in Kosovo and discussed the importance of an effective legislature for implementing EU integration policies.

Mayor Basha warmly thanked the European Union's Ambsandor for the continued and great support the European Union has given to Kosovo in all phases of statehood, in various fields and with numerous projects over the years.

At the meeting, Mayor Basha stressed the importance of removing measures against our country, as well as Kosovo's presence in the Council of Europe, as an additional mechanism guaranteeing the advancement of human freedoms and principles for all citizens of our country.

For his part, the chief of the EU Office, Mr. Orav, congratulated Mayor Basha for the new post as Speaker of the Republic of Kosovo's Parliament and expressed the importance of functionalisation of institutions, as well as readiness for continued close co-operation and strong support of the European Union for Kosovo, which is an essential relationship for the country's development and its full integration into European structures.
