Joint control begins tomorrow at Globoqica ézhinca, circulation between Kosovo and Northern Macedonia is facilitated

On 28 May 2025, at 2: 00 p.m., the implementation of the common control principle “login” will officially begin at the joint crossing of the Globocica border, between Kosovo and North Macedonia.
According to the media report at the inauguration ceremony, Kosovo Home Affairs Minister Jedal Svecla, Macedonia's first deputy prime minister, Izet Mexhidi, Northern Macedonia Interior Minister Pance Toshkovski, and official delegations from both countries are expected to attend.
This is one of the two border checkpoints envisioned for joint control, according to the Protocol of Implementation of the Agreement signed in November 2024 during the joint meeting of the two governments. Other points include Elezi's Hani Blace border crossing.
The implementation of this principle is expected to facilitate the border movement, accelerate the process of control and strengthen cross-border co-operation between Kosovo and Northern Macedonia. /Periscope/
