Today it has been 28 years since the fall of hero Luan Haradinaj. In this case, the KLA War Veterans Organisation organised the Memorial Academy.

On the 28th anniversary of his fall, Luan Haradinaj's figure was remembered as a symbol of courage and sacrifice for national freedom.

DUI leader Ali Ahmeti as he stressed the great sacrifices made for Albanian freedom, he praised Luan Haradinaj's figure.

In addition Ahmeti called for nationwide unity and stresses that despite different differences or statements, Albanians must remain united in facing challenges, guaranteeing their rights and advancing towards national goals.

We won the war, we won it with many hard sacrifices, days to line up against allies. We have washed the freedom with blood, if liberation helped us the allies we are grateful to, but the Lion mission was not carried out because the weapons he had deposited in Albanian regions in Macedonia required action. In commemorations such as the case for the Lion, it is also worth giving us such orders that Albanians as a whole are together regardless of whether there is any claim against the cause and victory of blood that we have accomplished, but this does not weaken us from being fearless in telling all those who want to violate our right to prevent us from approaching Kosovo's goals, the Albanians of Macedonia to eventually materialise their own”, he noted. Former soldier of The KLA, Kudus Lama, in memory of Luan Haradinaj, emphasises how devoted he was to fighting for freedom since his family and environment. According to him, he chose, not comfort, but action and sacrifice for the future of his homeland.

Luann was not an address other than to fight for freedom because the doorstep of his family gate guided him there. You can go too far, in theory and theory, but remain in the practice of national action and social development, but you're not a man of action and courage but you're not in love with the future, the one who agrees with the situation can never have vision of the future. Luan Haradinaj had no time to crawl to find the battle, he was a fighter. And warriors never run towards a stranger, but towards a vision because they see clearly the future of their homeland”, Lama stressed.

While organiser of this ceremony -- from the emerging KLA associations, Xhavit Jashari -- stressed that remembering The Lion, but also Ismail Haradinaj, <x0 we respect all those who contributed to Kosovo's freedom”. He stresses that the oath of a KLA soldier has been built on the Lion's tomb.

“As we remember The Lion, we also remember the major national event, Ismail Haradinaj. As soon as we remember The Lion and Ishmael, we remember the activists and the natives, and all those who have done and given something that we today are free. But today when we remember The Lion, we remember the glorious war of the Liberation Army”, Jashar stressed.

Today it is 28 years after the fall of hero Luan Haradinaj, who had fallen into one of the KLA's first battles against the invading Serb forces on May 6, 1997, at the Albanian-Albanian border.

The battle with Serb forces, while leading a Kosovo Liberation Army expedition on the road to entering Kosovo, claimed the life of one of the Haradinaj family boys. /Periscope/
