Happiness is relative. Some find it in material wealth; others are content with the love of a neighbor. But when is complete happiness achieved? The study carried out by Harvard University, which began in 1938 and included 268 students from whom only 19 are alive today and about 90 years old.
After decades of observation, researchers came to a conclusion: The age when people feel happier is 60 years old. According to Robert Waldinger, professor of psychiatry and head of the study, it is not wealth, intelligence, or genes that affect our happiness and life expectancy, but the quality of relationships, writes A2 CNN.
Strong relations protect the individual from sadness, help preserve mental and physical health, and even affect more than cholesterol or economic status”, says Waldinger.
Researchers point to three main pillars for a long and happy life:
Love and love.
A stable marriage.
He cared for his body and avoided alcohol and tobacco excessively.
This study is a call to invest more in people around us than in material wealth. After all, happiness is measured, not by things, but by relationships. And according to science, 60 is the golden age of the soul. /Periscopi/
