Opposition Close to Co-operation in Establishing New Government

About a month ago, this statement by Social Democrat Initiative Chairman Fatmir Limaj sparked waves of reactions from opposition officials who criticised him that, as they said, he is hanging out with Albin Kurt for the coalition. You've probably heard the procedures of Chairman Limaj since someone deliberately must have been misplayed. But Chairman Limaj historically testified that when the country is in question, it certainly only hurts it personally as it was war, and after war, in politics and development of the country, even now has declared that for the national level if the country needs us, we will sit with everyone. However, he has not said that we will coalition with this political subject or with that subject. But in this case we are determined and our wish is that we go to a new government as united opposition. The initiative's readiness to co-operate with opposition parties with its three MPs has stepped up opposition hopes of establishing the new government. In reality, though, there is a huge gap even within opposition parties. Following the LDK chairmanship meeting Lumir Abdixhik by setting red lines of LVV for co-operation, it has conditioned other opposition parties that for co-operation I must meet the prime minister's post.

This approach of the LDK, according to Vesel Krasniqi from NISMA, poses a major problem for an opposition co-operation. Wessel says the ball is now PDK's if it is ready to compromise with the LDK for the prime minister's post.

The LDK leader's statements that they will be in Government as a united opposition only if it belongs to the prime minister's office, we think it's something that undermines steps for us to take initiative to have a united opposition to the fact that LDK is the third party. Realistically, if the first winning subject fails to form the new government, the possibility will automatically be given to the second subject, which in this case is the PDK. But LDK statements are of concern to us for an inability to create the new government as the opposition. But it remains in the PDK domain whether it will give it the position of prime minister. But so far there is no initiative except for a few meetings like the one of Mayor Limaj was with PDK chairman”, Krasniqi told RTV21, broadcast Periscope.

But, PDK officials rule out a compromise that the PDK as the second party hands over the prime minister's post.

Meanwhile, Vetevendosje as the winning party still does not start discussions on forming the new government. From this political subject, they say they are awaiting the certificate of election results.

Political analyst Lutfi Bilalli says any delay in establishing new institutions will cause consequences for Kosovo in both the international arena and domestic issues. According to him, the chances are equal to Vetevendosje as the opposition to create a Government.

Both camps have responsibilities and can mathematically create a simple government, but Kosovo does not need such an adventure.”>, Bilall told Rtv21.

The LVV officially has 48 deputies, while opposition parties together 52.
