LDK reacts after the VV complained to PZAP: their effort, a dangerous act on the integrity of the elections

The Democratic League of Kosovo has reacted after the Vetevendosje Movement complained to the Electoral Panel for Ances and Parastres, demanding the annulment of nearly 19 thousand LDK-posted votes, revote with respect to the post office vote and the ban on running candidates who have manipulated. LDK has said that this VV complaint comes only because it does not like the outcome of the February 9th elections.

This attempt to violate the free will of our voters in the Mrgatta constitutes a dangerous act towards the democratic integrity of the election process. The very political representatives of this party, appointed in embassies and consulates, are those who have intervened and manipulated diaspora votes in the corridor offices. Over 1,600 ballotes of this party, printed with the same technical errors, clearly testify to an organised manipulation. Moreover, there is ample evidence of the public self-indigulation of Vetevendosje activists in the massive filling of the Zrgata ballot. If an annulment should be considered due to irregularities, these very cases should be the object of a full and impartial probe”, the LDK's response said.

The LDK said that “is paradoxical and deeply hypocritical” for this requirement to cancel the Mrgata vote to come right from Vetevendosje.

A political subject that, in the 2019 elections, had protected over 4,000 envelopes coming from Serbian marbles, searching at the Supreme Court for those votes to be accepted as fair. The same party today requires the annulment of Albanian diaspora votes, of course, only those in favour of LDK and, at the same time, aim to stop running for deputy Mr. Hysen Cekaj, son of the nation's hero Sali Cekaj”, says the response.

The Democratic League of Kosovo has said it will use all democratic means to protect the integrity of its vote, both within and outside the country.

“We will not allow the political and democratic will of our exile to be violated whenever the election outcome does not match Vetevendosje's interests”, it says in response.
