If you weren't a pilot, you wouldn't likely want your last vacation spot to be a lead.
But it's where this couple will spend the rest of eternity side by side for a very strange reason, they write foreign media.
If you're ever on a flight inside or outside Savannah/Heilton Head Airport, or you're just looking at Google Maps, you can tell this thing on the runway.
This is because under the asphalt of the travel center in the American state of Georgia, Catherine and Richard Dotson rest, along with two of their relatives.
The couple were buried in the western half of the airport, near track 10 and 28, and that was more than 140 years ago.
But why did the “end up resting” right next to the most active facility at the airport?
Well, we have to go back in time to explain that this happened a long time before Savannah/Hilton Head Airport was built for the first time in 1960.
At that time, the Dotsons owned the earth.
The site was known as Cherokee Hills and the couple é, both born in 1797, spent many happy years there together, enjoying five decades of marriage. /Telegraph
