Is your child annoying with food? Parents Are Not to blame

And the tendency to have food problems can continue in early adolescence, the team says, relying on their previous work in studying young children.
Research in the United Kingdom compared the eating habits of identical and non-identic twins from 16 months to 13 years of age to finding out how much they owe genetics and how much of their environment.
The identical twins were much more similar in terms of how concerned they were with food than the identical ones were by suggesting a strong genetic component.
However, strategies to help increase the variety of foods children eat, including providing a variety of foods can still be useful, especially in early childhood, they say.
The study was presented in the Journal of Children Psychology and Psychiatry, Living quoted.
Professor Claire Llewellyn, the old author of the UCL study, said:
The reason why some children are hard enough to try certain foods and others are more acceptable and they are happy to join family meals is mainly because of the genetic differences between children and not parenting styles.” /Telegraphy/
