The Parliamentary Investigative Commission for the process of subsidising the purchase of textbooks and teaching tools for primary education and lower education students for the 2023/2024 school year has discussed the time dynamic of interviewing witnesses, where it was approved to become a draft proposal by the Commission's chairman for members, the Online Economy reports.
At this meeting, besides witnesses from the publishing houses of other acts involved in the process, Minister of Education Arberie Nagavci was asked to be interviewed.
Democratic Party of Kosovo MP Bekim Haxhiu requested that members of MAST, libraries and then ministers be included on the list.
“List I think should have its priority up until we have a timeline. How many financial tools have been spent on teaching tools 2023-2024, how many tools the government has shared, and how many tools behind MAST have been spent, why negotiations with publishing houses have failed, whether there have been offers, or there are differences with past years, etc.”, Haxhiu said.
And Alliance for the Future of Kosovo deputy Shemsedin Dreselj said it would be appropriate to collect the data and then come to the Commission report, Minister Arberie Nagavci.
These proposed witnesses of position and opposition we need to think of who we invite, who's first and who's second. I propose that we leave the Minister of Education last, to collect all the information, and then disk”, Dresey said.
Vetevendosje Movement MP Arber Rexha proposed that experts establish a list and Friday have Commission meetings again, but that this was rejected by the deputy PDK, Bekim Haxhiu. He said this proposal does not stand because according to him <x0).
Let's get you an interview between 2008 and 2023 until we have information why not, because in 2008, the purchase of textbooks for students has begun. We need details about this Commission, for example. how many students have not applied in e-Kosovo. My proposal is to start from publishing houses”, Haxhiu said.
While Democratic League of Kosovo MP Agim Veliu proposed making comparisons with the last two years and the preliminary ones.
The start of this commission's work will be 2023-2024, then we release in 2008 where we can make comparisons. As far as the list of witnesses is concerned, I think it's enough”, he said.
And power MP Arjeta Feyza proposed consulting material and lists.
“Based in the documentation we sent to institutions has been accepted material kam dilemma, proposes in terms of the dynamic plan, the list approved to consult the material even list”, she said.
