The published report mentions the appointment of Riley Gervala as RTK director.
It says that the Kosovo government, led by Prime Minister Albin Kurti, has threatened Public Television with the appointment of Gervala in this position, which is named a close ally with the ruling VV party.
“The biggest television channel, Klan Kosova, has been subjected to administrative harassment by the government, which had also threatened public broadcaster independence RTKa, with the election of a close ally of the ruling party as director”, says the Reporters Without Borders report.
