Police Chief Minister Imer Zeqiri has provided new details from the meeting he held last week with Interior Minister Jelal Svechla.
He said the request for the payment of police members' travel hopes to be realised by June.
While other demands, such as retirement, and health insurance, are under way, according to Zeqiri has not given them a deadline.
“We just discussed, on the job of the retirement law, and on the work of the health insurance law they've been working on, they haven't set a deadline, while for transport of members by June we're hoping that this will be done, and then we talked about a request that the director or police management for deficit staff has sent, they told us that a government commission was formed and is working in that direction. In fact, we don't have any specific facts for demand, except the transport I mentioned in June”, he said of Periscope.
The reasons for their meeting are the 14 requirements of the Police Union for improving conditions in this security institution.
These are the demands of the trade union, even in their latest protest before the government.
“1. Improving overall working conditions, such as clothing, work tools, logistical tools, police facilities in view that some police objects and vehicles, as well as other necessary equipment for performing official duties, do not meet the minimum conditions for work.
2. The risk for police officials is permanent, and it does not depend solely on a certain location or location, as well as on the demand that the additional risk of work be between 25 and 50% of the basic salary and that a commission be formed that will make the level reassessation and classification of risk additions.
3. The inclusion of specific units in addition to labour market conditions.
