The Catalan newspaper explained that anonymous sources “known with talks” between Bayerni and Zidane said that although nothing has been signed yet, those “have been realistically carried out”.
The Frenchman has been out of work since leaving Madrid as a second coach in 2021.
However, in recent weeks, he was firmly linked to a return to management with Bayern Munich declared a potential future destination.
The former Golden Ball winner was in a two-horse race with Julian Nagelsmann for the vacant country in Allianz, and this was interrupted earlier by Nagelsmann by re-opening the contract with the German national until after the 2026 World Cup.

Zidane is said to have requested reinforcements all over a team that can do with a change of face, and especially in defence.
This is an area where Zidane can lose Alfonso Davies this summer, which is a popular target for Madrid.
Since the Canadian contract does not expire until 2025, however, it can stay for at least one season until it passes to the Spanish capital with a free transfer.
