Kelmendi said that even officials who consistently criticize the prosecution's work accept the results.
“Judicial status is unique, inseparable in protecting Kosovo's values and principles of justice. Our unity is also significant when we have friends, partners like the US and the EU, who appreciate our efforts to rule the law, and at the same time are our biggest applicants whenever we try to violate our constitutional and legal independence”, Kelmendi said.
He thanked the US and EU on behalf of state prosecutors for continued support.
Kelmendi in his speech revealed that in 2023, the prosecution accepted 52 thousand cases, where 41 thousand of the cases have ended.
Last year was a year of challenges, but I think it was effective. During 2023, the state prosecutor accepted 52,000 cases, of which 41 thousand cases were concluded. In 2023, Kosovo has scored results in rule of law”, he said.
He also showed that in the case of corruption, during 2023, more than a thousand cases have been accepted, with 900 of them completed.
Kelmendi stressed that they have also handled terrorism cases.

Kelmendi stated that for the first time, they have succeeded in freezing, sequencing.
“The value of seized wealth is close to 88m euros, while the final value of sequentified assets is approximately 24m euros. Last year's seizure of over 110m euros”, he said.
