IPKO explains to the public the technical disruption of the DTV service

On the evening of the 08.02.24, about 10:00 p.m., IPKO has suffered a technical malfunction that has brought a complete break to our Digital Television service throughout Kosovo. This incident affected our clients' access to television services and we are committed to understanding the cause.
Disconnection of the service was located on one of our main transmission devices.

Under normal circumstances, our television service is protected from a configuration that should be automatically passed on to reserve devices in case of such failures. However, for reasons still unknown, this automatic transition did not occur, demanding manual intervention by IPKO engineers. We were back in nine minutes.

Immediately steps have been taken to address the issue, including escalation of the issue to the equipment manufacturer. We are expecting expert analysis to identify the root cause of failure and to implement measures that will prevent such phenomena in the future.
