The education director in the Pristina municipality, Besiana Musmurat, has indicated that the call for subsidies from 70 euros has been opened for families who want to register their children in private shelters.
She said that every Pristina family that revenues have under 500 euros and has children aged 9 months to 6 years will be subsidised by 70 euros.
The main reason I invited you today is to share with you the good news that we have opened the call for subvention from 70 euros of Pristina families to register their children at private shelters. Each Pristina family, which has 500 euros in financial revenues and has children aged 9 months to 6 years, will be subsidised by 70 euros to register their children in what will be their private nursery”, she has said.
The first education in the capital has said that the priority will have several categories like self-friendly mothers, children with special needs and children of categories derived from the KLA war.
“This news is very good for Pristina parents. With a subvention of 70 euros a month we will expect the involvement of children in the nursery and early education. We will increase the participation of women in the labour market, as well as ease the financial burden of many Pristina families. Categories that will be the top priority are self-preservative mothers, children with special needs, children of divorced parents, children of the KLA disabled, and children of KLA veterans”, she said.
The education director has said that involvement in daycare and early education brings long-term benefits to the child's positive development, has already been scientifically proven.
“Education and education transform children's lives and break the poverty cycle many children face, and the first six years of life are crucial. Children learn more during the first six years of their life than at any other moment in their life”, she said.
Furthermore, Musmurat has added that investing in early childhood education is a good way to reduce gaps that often put children with low social and economic status on a lifeline.
“Therefore, this is very good news for young parents living in Pristina because little ease eases the financial burden of early education for their children. As a new policy, this subvention will also help young mothers enter the labour market as soon as possible and increase the involvement of women in the labour market”, she has said.
According to her, with subsidies of 70 euros a month for Pristina families, the inclusion of children in early kindergartens and education and the participation of women in the labour market will increase, and financial burden will be eased for many families in Pristina.
We have allocated 100,000 euros for financing of the first phase, but depending on the number of applications we will also increase the budget. So I call on all of Pristina's parents that family revenues have under 500 Euros to apply in the open call for subsidisation, which is currently on the Pristina Community website and on our social networks”, Musmati said.
All citizens can also apply at the number 5 sports site in the Pristina municipality.
